Ben King – Event Director

Ben’s professional background and personal interest areas revolve around three key fields – sport, community and business. Ben’s experience includes a number of senior positions in the sports and entertainment industry, including the North Melbourne Football Club and the nation’s governing body for cricket, Cricket Australia. He has had extensive experience working in sponsorship, event management and marketing at the elite level.
More recently Ben has worked closely with a number of charitable organisations evaluating their current activities, before formulating strategic plans in event management, marketing and fundraising.

Ben’s area of expertise is in designing, developing and delivering great events with a focus on fundraising. Making other organisations money is what Ben loves to do best. That, and play super dad to two gorgeous active kids.

Susie King – COMMUNICATIONS Manager

A former advertising and marketing account director, Susie brings to King Performance Events a wealth of experience developing compelling campaigns, social media engagement, media positioning and electronic and print production, which adds depth to our events team.
She has worked for some of the largest Advertising agencies in the country including George Patts and JWT. 

Susie’s strength is ensuring that communication for your event is delivered in the most effective way possible. And she just loves to meet or rather beat deadlines.

Bryony Giusti – Event Manager

Bryony joined King Performance Events in January 2014 bringing with her considerable experience in major events, mainly in the DanceSport and Equestrian industries. Her experience includes Event Coordinator for the 2008 World Latin DanceSport Championship and Event Director for PSI Dressage & Jumping with the Stars and the Saddleworld Dressage Festival.
Bryony plays a pivotal role in delivering our major events of the Stadium Stomp series and Eureka Tower Climb, overseeing event coordination, event delivery, stakeholder management and volunteer management. She has also been responsible for the delivery of a number of our other events including the Monash Children's Hospital Walk and Parkinson’s Victoria – A Walk in the Park.


Sam is the latest member of the KPE team.  Originally from a sports management background, Sam worked at Cricket Victoria for a number of years as an Events & Marketing Services Manager, as well as in London with a sports agency involved in events like Formula One, the Football World Cup and the Olympics.  More recently Sam has developed her skills in corporate land undertaking marketing in the competitive employment, training and recruitment industry.  Her strengths include strategy development, branding, events and sponsorship.  Sam has a passion for all sports as both a participant and spectator...when she has time juggling her two young kids!  

Helen James – Operations Manager

Helen joined King Performance in May, 2012 as an Events Manager bringing with her considerable experience in major and high profile events including EQUITANA Melbourne (50,000+ patrons) and the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Gallipoli (15,000+ patrons).  Having worked in events administration, operations, logistics, sponsorship, marketing, accounts and client liaison, Helen is well rounded and versatile and also brings a ton of enthusiasm and energy to the role.  A mum to three young kids Helen is also responsible for two very successful social accounts with over 110,000 followers (and counting)!


Marlee is our Volunteer Manager guru. With thousands of volunteers required throughout the year for our events Marlee ensures that they have the best experience possible.  Marlee has had prior experience with managing volunteers at the St Kilda Festival and continues to look after our terrific Stadium Stomp vollies!
