2023 Highlights

It’s been another fantastic events year for King Performance Events, working with all our wonderful clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. Some of the highlights from the year include:

WALK4BCNA

October is breast cancer awareness month and the team at KPE were thrilled to help develop and deliver the inaugural SWIISH #WALK4BCNA event at Metcalfe Park, Sydney.

The Event saw registrants participate in a 4km walk around Metcalfe Park, Sydney followed by a family friendly festival.

The festival included food vendors, health and fitness retailers, SWIISH and BCNA merchandise, children’s activities, yoga, massage and other wellness activations including a chill out zone.  BCNA’s signature Mini-Field of Women area was also a prominent and memorable feature.

Events like this help to raise funds to ensure BCNA continues to support, inform, connect and represent all Australians affected by breast cancer.

Olivia’s Walk for Wellness

The 10th annual Olivia's Walk for Wellness was held on a beautiful Spring Melbourne day with record numbers in attendance. Dame Olivia Newton-John loved this event and bringing people together.

Along with organising the 5km walk spread across multiple wave times KPE also produced the event village activities and stage entertainment.

Activations included Smooth FM, Melbourne Stars, Brooks Running, Photo booth, Kids Zone, Vintage Car Display, Wellness Areas, roving entertainment and even Doggy Yoga.

Post walk participants enjoyed a special concert featuring “Sandy” and “Danny” from Grease the Musical.  Following by some of our favourite Olivia songs from David Campbell, Tottie Goldsmith and Phil Burton.

The team at @kingperformanceevents are proud to continue Olivia’s legacy of supporting cancer patients through their journey.

Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney

Over $1.6M was raised for the greatest adventure you’ll ever share in the Australian bush.  For the first time Oxfam Trailwalkers’ got to pick their challenge of 30km, 55km or 100km trails.

With almost 2,000 participants KPE and the wider team delivered the 48 hour event.  Key stats included x3 start lines, x1 finish line, x7 check-points, 400 volunteer shifts and 20+ event staff.

February 2023

https://victorianhearthospital.org/

The Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) is Australia's first dedicated heart hospital, opening on the Monash University Clayton campus in February 2023. The VHH will become the physical home of the Monash Victorian Heart Institute enabling the co-location of research, education, and patient care.

To recognise and celebrate the official opening KPE planned and executed a series of events across the weekend including:

2019 Yearly Wrap Up

From a leisurely walk around Princes Park in our pyjamas, to getting locked up in jail, to climbing the highest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, 2019 had it all!

King Performance Events would like to thank all our clients, venue partners, volunteers, sponsors and participants for helping make 2019 another fantastic year!  Together we raised over $2.9million for charities all across Australian and New Zealand.

It has been a pleasure once again working with the following charities on the successful delivery of their events:

  • Monash Health Foundation’s Walk for Monash Children’s Hospital

  • Trust for Nature’s Women in Conservation Breakfast

  • Whitelion Bailout - Sydney and Melbourne

  • Parkinson’s Victoria’s - A Walk in the Park

  • Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand’s Stadium Climb

  • The Fred Hollows Foundation’s Eureka Stair Climb

Our event portfolio continues to grow with the introduction of 2 new events this year:

  • Austin Health - The Wellness Walk and Research Run

  • Monash Health - Pyjama Fun Run

We thank Austin Health and Monash Health Foundation for entrusting us with your events and we had an absolute ball working with you to deliver them!

Stadium Stomp was held at 4 iconic stadiums across Australia with record participation. In 2020 we will continue to work on heading West (help us get there by registering your interest; https://www.stadiumstomp.com/events/perth) and we are also excited to be returning to Eden Park in Auckland. Registrations are now open for our 2020 Series so be sure to spread the word.

Many of our events rely heavily on the support of volunteers, and we acknowledge the many who have been supporting King Performance Events over the years, some who have been with us for 6+ years! We are honored that you are willing to donate your time (often a cold early Sunday morning) to assist us in the smooth running of our events. Volunteers are really the backbone of our industry, so thank you!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year and we look forward to another memorable year in 2020.

Stomp for Seth!

At the tender age of five, Seth was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL), a rare disease that most commonly affects children. Because the disease progresses quickly, his treatment began soon after diagnosis.

For three and a half years, Seth underwent intensive chemotherapy at Monash Children’s Hospital. He was constantly in and out of hospital for various immune related problems, infections or side effects from treatment. This meant that he missed out on a lot of school and social events.

Despite these challenges, Seth remained steadfast in his courage and positivity, and always had a smile on his face.

Now, at ten years of age and in remission, he lives a happy, active life.

“I like basketball, riding my bike, swimming, playing Pokémon and doing things with my mum, dad and my sister Holly,” he said.

He’s also made the decision to participate in his first ever Stadium Stomp with family and friends, as part of ‘Team Stomping with Seth’.

His mum Nikki participated in two Stadium Stomps in the past, with Seth keenly watching from the sidelines. This time, Seth gets to join her.

“There are ten of us in the team at the moment including me, my sister Holly and my friend Ryan. We will be doing the Junior Stomp and the others are doing the full course. “

Junior Stomp is designed to be more suitable for younger participants (5-12 years) and follows Stomp’s short-course, covering approximately 1900 steps on Level 1 of the ‘G.

So on Sunday the 18th of June at Melbourne Cricket Ground, along with mum, Seth and his team mates will be taking on the Junior Stomp.

The Leukaemia Foundation is the proud charity partner for Stadium Stomp. Funds raised for the Foundation will go towards vital research and providing Australian families facing a diagnosis of blood cancer with accommodation, transport and practical and emotional support.
